Ok , i'm back, now to the back braces

some more shavings, that is my favorite part of the build, right after bending the sides!

to cover the center seam i took some of the top cut out

i was curious of what my guitar would look like when the box will be closed so i pretended it was... for a second!

sanded the back of the rim to receive the back plates

prepared some HHG but had some alignment and humidity problems and had to resort to Titebond for the glue up of the back, i was also too nervous to reuse HHG after cleaning it up the first time. So i used titebond, taped the top to the go bar deck table, put the radius dish on top for weight, some go bars i had pre-cut and the waiting begins...

Now i'm anxious to go down to the shop tomorrow morning and see the result, i'll keep you all posted

Thanks again

Serge

Well, the good news is that I don't think that rim and back assembly is

well serge, i had a major setback on the rim, and long story short, i had to start all over. so i got new sides and bent them. got john mayes dvd in this week on advanced voicing, so i will be bracing this week hopefully and kerfing my rim. then i will be ready for closing up the box. i can only work on things one day a week here, so i try to make the most of those days.

but i will try to post some pics when i get a chance to. thanks!

blessings,
kyle

Thanks for the encouragement Russ, Bill and Kyle!

Kyle, i feel your pain buddy, one day a week isn't much for such a passion and set backs are a high price to pay but i'm sure that John Mayes DVD will help you a great deal to get back on track very soon, like Ron advises so well, once in the shop, go slow no matter how excited you are, you'll be taking more enlightened decisions and make the right moves at thre right time!

Can't wait to see them pics!

Serge
